More taken in the garden during the snow on Friday last. This time a Chaffinch on the Nyger seed feeder, usually the exclusive preserve of Goldfinches. It’s unusual to see a Chaffinch on a feeder as the normally are ground feeders, picking up the bits dropped by other birds on the feeders. View the full post
Three more shots taken during yesterday’s snow showers, a brief return to Winter. These are Robins, on or near our feeders. They seem to feed happily amongst the other bird species but as soon as another Robin comes anywhere near they end up chasing one another away from the food View the full post
Some shots of the snow covered St. Peter’s churchyard, Earlsheaton, taken last Sunday morning, the only time we’ve had any snow so far this year.
