A Great Spotted Woodpecker Family

Over the last few weeks we’ve been visited by a Great Spotted Woodpecker family, feeding on on a suet filled coconut and peanuts.

At first the juvenile was always accompanied by either mum or dad but over the last few days the youngster has been coming alone. A sign that he (or she) has flown the nest?

most of the photos I managed to capture were of the juvenile, with only a few of the parents.
