Buckfastleigh Station

Black and White images of Buckfastleigh station, terminus of the South Devon Railway, a heritage steam railway that used to be the Ashburton branch of the Great Western Railway and British Railways before it was closed as part of the Beeching cuts of the 1960s.

The branch originally terminated at Ashburton but had to be shortened to Buckfastleigh in order to allow the building of the A38 dual carriageway.
