April seems have been a good month for uncommon wildlife at home. We’ve had an Hedgehog, Fox, Mallards and today a colourful Yellowhammer for the first time. I’ve not included vermin on the list, Grey Squirrels and the odd Rat. I’ve posted some shots of the very nervous, skittish Yellowhammer that was in the garden today. View the full post
We were surprised to see this fox in the garden this afternoon. Whilst we often hear, and occasionally see them at night it;s very unusual to see one in the middle of the afternoon. It must have been the cold weather focing him/her to look for food. It is fine, healthy, looking animal that made a good photographic subject. View the full post

Another visit to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park yesterday and so some more photos from there. The four Polar Bears are all together now, allowed to interact with one another and to go to either of the two areas as they wish. I didn’t manage to get a shot with all four of them in, the best I could do was three of them, the first shot in today’s post. View the full post
