We visited the Spring Food & Drink Show organised by the BBC in Harrogate yesterday. It’s a three day event and it was the final day.
Whilst the show was generally alright, it was no where as large as the winter one in Birmingham (according to my better half who is a veteran of these shows).
Personally I had a few moans about the show.
Firstly they had crammed too many exhibitors in the two halls used making it very difficult to circulate. It would have been better If another hall or larger halls had been used.
Secondly there was no where to sit to have any food or drink, unless you were a V.I.P. and their reserved area had loads of tables and chairs, 90 percent of which were not getting used.
Thirdly having gone to watch a cookery demonstration by James Martin they would not let us out of the event by the direct, easy route, we all had to fight our way through the crowds in the exhibition areas to leave.
Anyway gripe over, I’ve posted some shots of James Martin doing a cookery demonstration. All the shots were taken with my Panasonic Lumix TZ40 from about half way back in the theatre. They came out better than I expect as most were taken on, or nearly on, full zoom.
