Friday the Thirteenth. Nothing sinister on here though.
Some shots taken last Sunday of the Southern Railways West Country Pacific being serviced at Paignton after hauling The Torbay Express to Kingswear. The engine was turned at Churston and then run down to Paignton to be filled with water and coal before reversing back to it’s train at Kingswear.
While it was being serviced one of the enthusiasts on the platform asked on of the railwaymen to place a model of the engine on the loco near the numberplate so that he could take some photos of the model and the real engine. I also took the opportunity and have posted two of the snaps.
