Five images from the Worth Valley Railway Winter Steam Gala held over three days from the 9/3/18 to 11/3/18.
Following yesterday’s monochrome shots taken at the KWVR Winter Steam Gala, today I’m uploading three colour shots of steam engines and their trains at or passing through Ingrow West station.
I’ve been sorting out my hard drives and processing some images from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway’s Winter Steam Gala held earlier this year. Below are three shots of combinations of engines used as double headers on some of the train run over the weekend of the gala.
Three more shots from the recent Steam Gala on the Worth Valley Railway. These are all of one of the railway’s resident tank engine, ex. LNWR Coal Tank number 1054.
Two of the shots are taken at the passing loop at Damems and the other at Oxenhope station.
I’ve got round to sorting out some of the images from this year’s Winter Steam Gala on the Worth Valley Railway and here are three footplate portraits processed in black and white. The first two were taken at Oxenhope station and the third at Ingrow West.
Three more photos from the KWVR Winter Steam Gala. These will be the last, for the time being. All three were taken from our train as we were stood in the passing lopp just outside Damems station waiting for the train going in the other direction to pass us. All three are Black and White conversions with a lot of stem smoke from both trains, hence the title steamy monos.
More Photos from the KWVR Winter Steam Gala. Today, three shots of the former LNWR 0-6-2 Coal Tank 1054 at the head of a double-header heading from Keighley to Oxenhope. The first two shots are taken as the train approaches and pulls in to Howarth station and the third one shows the engine at Oxenhope in the headshunt uncoupled from the train and about to run around the train. The second engine on the double headed train is ex.Taff Vale Railway Class 02 0-6-2T No. 85.
More shots from our visit to to the Worth Valley Railway Winter Steam Gala yesterday. While we were waiting on Oxenhope station platform for our train to arrive I wandered around with my camera taking shots of some of the bits and pieces that would have been associated with, connected to, a traditional steam railway station. Here are shots of three of the gas lamps that are on the platform.
4F 43924 today at the first day of the 2016 Winter Steam Gala on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, so that’s today’s photos taken care of. I’ve posted three Black & White shots of one of the stalwarts of the railway, ex.LMS 4F standard goods engine 43924. The shots are taken from the end of platform 4 of Keighley station as the loco runs round it’s carriages ready to haul the next train to Oxenhope.
