Three more photos from the KWVR Winter Steam Gala. These will be the last, for the time being. All three were taken from our train as we were stood in the passing lopp just outside Damems station waiting for the train going in the other direction to pass us. All three are Black and White conversions with a lot of stem smoke from both trains, hence the title steamy monos. View the full post

More Photos from the KWVR Winter Steam Gala. Today, three shots of the former LNWR 0-6-2 Coal Tank 1054 at the head of a double-header heading from Keighley to Oxenhope. The first two shots are taken as the train approaches and pulls in to Howarth station and the third one shows the engine at Oxenhope in the headshunt uncoupled from the train and about to run around the train. The second engine on the double headed train is ex.Taff Vale Railway Class 02 0-6-2T No. 85. View the full post

4F 43924 today at the first day of the 2016 Winter Steam Gala on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, so that’s today’s photos taken care of. I’ve posted three Black & White shots of one of the stalwarts of the railway, ex.LMS 4F standard goods engine 43924. The shots are taken from the end of platform 4 of Keighley station as the loco runs round it’s carriages ready to haul the next train to Oxenhope. View the full post
