The last, for the time being at least, of the images from the Food Festival. This young lady was, I think, the assistant to the guy who was making the balloon sculptures for the kids at the festival. View the full post
Yet more photos from the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival, shots of the cookery demonstration on the temporary stage/kitchen erected in St. George’s Square. View the full post
We took our eldest grandkids to the Yorkshire Day Event at Oakwell Hall, Birstall yesterday and these are some shots of a medieval music group who were performing admirably in the courtyard of the visitor centre. Sorry I don’t have the name or any information about the musicians. This event seems to have become an annual one, but seems to be getting smaller year by year. Some more shots of the the 2015 Coal Race, the last for now. These are a few more images from the women’s race, a couple showing the family and supporters of the competitors giving them encouragement. View the full post
Continuing with the Coal Race theme some more photos from the last year’s women’s race. Although the majority of the participants always look to be struggling with the bag of coal very few seem to drop out of the races, most completing the race, encouraged by family and friends. View the full post
More images from last year’s Coal Race in Gawthorpe. This time one photo resulting in three different images, hence the Post title, Race Photo Variations. This is a shot of a young woman who looks remarkably happy to say she is running with a bag of coal on her shoulders. View the full post
