The Tin Bath, a rare rail excursion with the train being hauled, double-headed by two ex. LMS locomotives Black 5 44871 and Jubilee class 45699 “Galatea. The train was on a round tour, Preston, Manchester, Sheffield, Wakefield, Blackburn, Preston, Manchester the photos being taken as the train heads up the Calder valley through Dewsbury. Some shots of the snow covered St. Peter’s churchyard, Earlsheaton, taken last Sunday morning, the only time we’ve had any snow so far this year.
The area is currently the subject of a a community restoration project, after suffering years of neglect. It is now looking much tidier. View the full post
