Yesterday, Easter Monday, the annual World Coal Carrying Championships were held in the village of Gawthorpe, West Yorkshire. These are three shots of the Veterans’ Race.

The local Bluebells are out and, as usual there is a mixture of colours from Deep blue to white.
Making the best of the warm(ish) weather at the moment, here are a few shots of a Hoverfly making the best of the multitude of Dandelions in bloom at the moment.
Like the Commas I posted yesterday, there seems to be significantly more Small Tortoiseshells about than there was this time last year, so so that I managed to get two in the same shot, hence two in one.
The recent warm, spring Weather and a few Commas have arrived in the area. Not great numbers but, subjectively, there seems to be more than last year. …
