I’ve been sorting out my hard disks and freeing up some space, mainly in the heritage railway sections. As a result I’ve put together a selection of shots of Black 5s, Sir William Stanier’s mixed traffic workhorse of the LMS and later British Railways.
I took most of the photos on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway but there are some on the Worth Valley Railway and one on the national network in Dewsbury.

A good website to find further information about the preserved Black 5s is HERE.
