Worth Valley Railway Winter Steam Gala 2018

Five images from the Worth Valley Railway Winter Steam Gala held over three days from the 9/3/18 to 11/3/18.

We normally go on the Sunday to these galas but for various reasons  this year we went on the first day, Friday. This seems to be the day when the enthusiasts, photographers and videographers are in the ascendancy, mainly men, like myself, of a certain vintage. There were very few women and even less children.

This years gala was notably for the presence of BR Standard Britannia Class 7MT Pacific 70013 ‘Oliver Cromwell’ on it’s last duties prior to the expiration of it’s boiler ticket and forthcoming overall.
