The Scarborough Flyer

The first Friday of this year’s schedule of the Scarborough Flyer, a steam hauled rail excursion that runs between Crewe and Scarborough during July and August.
This morning’s train was headed by ex.LMS/BR Pacific locomotive 46233 Duchess of Sutherland.
There was also a diesel loco at the back of the train. This was due to replace the steam engine on the leg into Scarborough as there is an increased fire risk in the surrounding countryside after the recent unusually dry weather if The Duchess was to haul the train.
I’ve posted two versions of the same shot as the train passes through Ravensthorpe in West Yorkshire.
