Calder & Hebble Reflections

The Dewsbury Cut branch of the Calder & Hebble Navigation at the point where the canal is immediately adjacent to Mill Street East, about halfway between the canal basin and the junction with the main canal.

The canal was opened in 1770 as a means of transporting shoddy and mungo from the local mills, but is now, like most canals, used for leisure purposes.
